A recently released Gallop Poll just reported that for the second straight year, more Americans rate Real Estate investment higher than Stocks, Gold, Bonds, CD's and Savings accounts as the Best long term investment.
Real estate leads with 31% of Americans choosing it, followed by stocks/mutual funds at 25%. Gold dropped to third at 15%, followed by CD's/Savings Accounts and coming in last at 6% were bonds.
Real estate was either the top choice, or tied for the top choice as the best investment among all major gender, age and income groups.
After taking a pounding with the subprime mortgage crisis that started in 2007, Real Estate now returned as a confident investment for the second year in a row. Continued strength in the Real Estate markets in 2015 indicate that this is a continuing trend for Real Estate and not a bump in the market.
Meanwhile, Gold has slipped even further as an attractive way to maintain or grow wealth.
Hope this Helps,
